Ah, YouTube’s recommendation engine knows me so well.
These tips for underwriters from Jenna Moreci just popped up, and I’m gonna keep hold of ‘em.
To be clear, I’m talking about “underwriting” as in “not writing sufficient words to tell a story well”, and not “the process by which investment bankers raise investment capital from investors on behalf of corporations and governments that are issuing either equity or debt securities”.
I’m an underwriter, not an underwriter.
Underwriting has always been a problem for me. I remember having awesome ideas for stories in school, but just not being able to fill a page before reaching the end. Every story submission I’ve ever worked on has come up short.
Coming up with ideas for stories comes easy, but storytelling is a skill I’m still learning.
